My art work starts with pencil, then with pen. pencil is used again after this to create the shadows that I want. finally I paint with watercolour. People often like to describe it as "pen & wash" but I feel strongly this does not describe my technique. I call it " pen, pencil and watercolour" but I know that it is the drawing that holds the picture together. I have this overwhelming desire to draw black lines to define objects and I am too old to change even if I wanted to! I paint without the need to sell but producing cards and prints of my work, funds the growing expences of producing my artwork.
