Sunrise off Cromer

Jeannie Zelos

I was born in North Norfolk; beautiful scenery full of traditional woodlands, vast beaches and huge skies. I retired early from work due to disability and began to paint, something I've long wanted to do. My work is becoming more sought after with sales both home and abroad. In addition to a changing selection of work on permanent exhibition in Picturecraft Gallery in Holt, North Norfolk it can be seen on several websites and by appointment at my studio. Please remember it's a working studio – not a gallery and it would be helpful if you could indicate both the subject matter and price range you are interested in, then I can arrange to have these ready for viewing. Please email me if you wish for an appointment.

I paint in a variety of mediums from watercolours through to encaustic, a method used over 2,000 years ago. For me art is a journey and by not restricting myself to one media I have the freedom to take my art to a range of possibilities. Over the last few years I have extended my experience via personal study and professional tuition and now use watercolours, soft pastels, oil pastels, acrylics, oils, and latest is the encaustic (beeswax) paints. I use these in separate paintings but also together in mixed media works and so the challenge is to decide when a work is finished! Like many past artists I have been known to look at a painting some time after it's completion and make a few alterations...

I'm always happy to discuss commissions and prices, and although I have a set pricing according to sizes of works, media used and time taken I will work to your budget, and suggest what can be done to a set cost. Although you are under no obligation to purchase if we are simply discussing what can be done if you do decide to go ahead I will need A 50% deposit before starting work. I aim to complete commissions within 4 weeks, however if you need them sooner for a special event I can usually be able to help, depending on my current schedule. I email photos of the work as I progress, so can make any changes you suggest as I work, in order to fit in with what you want the finished work to be.

Completed works for sale via the web can be returned within 14 days for a refund for any reason, but commissioned works cannot usually be returned, which is why I work so hard to make the painting to your specification. An unhappy customer isn't what either of us want and it's important to me to continue to avoid this, and to keep my good reputation.

I donate works to selected charities, and support both Cancer research and International League for protection of Horses through my art.
