About My Art
Abstract and semi-abstract art is a great joy to me as I am able to use my creative ability to create my original work.
I mainly paint in Acrylic and oils as I find them versatile to work with. The colours themselves are sometimes a source for inspiration as I mix them together on the palette. In fact, inspiration, I find can be found anywhere I look as I allow my mind to drift. I love the outdoors especially in the summer when on a clear day you can sometimes see for miles, I then feel a greater expansion to my mind. This I find can also be achieved by a deep relaxation to empty my mind of the usual day to day things, opening my mind to bring forth my creative insight.
Most of my paintings are from my imagination. I usually have an idea for a creative painting and the colours that I plan to use before I begin. Very often my imagination runs riot as I work and the painting can sometimes turn into a completely different but better one than my original thought.
I hope that you will be as delighted with my paintings if you decide to make a purchase, as I have been in creating them.
