I witnessed this scene on one of my 'escapes to paradise' in the Maldives in 2005. The hot sun was beating down and the light hit the water emphasising its transparency. I have created this piece using an initial acrylic layer, with oil paint for texture and shine to finish. The canvas is box style and ready to hang. I always paint the sides of my canvases to complete the finish. This large painting will make an excellent focal point to a room and I shall find it hard to part with it.
