An exhibition “Reverence for life” is one of many events in annual E17 Art Trail in London. "Adventure in the Butterfly house' garden” was painted purposely for this exhibition. It was a perfect day out with my then three years old son, who is very interested in nature and all sort of bags, butterflies, insect etc. On our way to a picnic aria we came across those giant leaves and as fearless explorer he just disappeared under the greens. It could easily serve him as a house or shelter and it was very well constructed: cool and protective but more important it was full of “life” for little boy. Moment later two toddlers were eager to see who lives under the giant leaf and to their amazement and surprise to see another child there. It was a wonderful way to play and learn and more of all to celebrate and admire life around us. It took me almost three weeks to complete the work. Every time paint is applied it would then take one or two days to dry and then I can work and do another layer hence building, improving and reinforcing colours.
