Scotland's televion pioneer John Logie Baird, a counterpoint to France's Lumiere Brothers (next). Baird experimented with horizontal lines of transmission and one of the first images successfully realised was a ghost-like pink/orange face
Part of the Scottish Cartoon Art Studio's Auld Alliance exhibition, shown at the Salon International de la Caricature, du Dessin de Presse et d'Humour (St.Just-le-Martel, Limoges) in 2002 and 2007 and at the Alliance Française (Glasgow) and L'Institut Francais d'Ecosse (Edinburgh) in 2006.
