Scotland and France's heraldic animals were, respectively, superseded by religious and revolutionary imagery. Part of the Scottish Cartoon Art Studio's Auld Alliance exhibition, shown at the Salon International de la Caricature, du Dessin de Presse et d'Humour (St.Just-le-Martel, Limoges) in 2002 and 2007 and at the Alliance Française (Glasgow) and L'Institut Francais d'Ecosse (Edinburgh) in 2006.
