rhino

The black and white rhinos are so called because the white is known as the wide-lipped rhino ( the black is also known as the hook-lipped) – ‘wit’ in Afrikaans means wide and sounds like ‘white’. There are several notable differences including the lip and the way they stand (white rhino are grazers so stand with head down, black are browser so have a more erect head and are taller)
