Information for buyers from The Artists Web

The Artists Web aims to bring Artists and buyers together to make buying art affordable, easy and secure with a wide range of art to suit all budgets. All our Artists have their own websites but also have their work displayed free of charge on our own gallery pages. Our powerful search functions allow you to find work to suit your tastes and within your price range. All artists on The Artists Web, are registered with us and subscribe to our terms and conditions, in addition they pay us an annual membership fee.

The Artists Web gives you the buyer a real cost saving as we take no commission for this service and you purchase directly from the artist - normally galleries will mark up prices by over 50%! Each artist has their own preferred payment methods generally (usually credit card, bank transfer or cheque) and period within which you can return the goods for 'no-quibble' refund - this information is displayed alongside the artwork and when you place an order.

How to order

Once you have found an item you are intested, you can place an order straight away by clicking the 'order' button when viewing the artwork. You will then have the option of paying 'online' via credit/debit card or 'offline' by cheque, transfer or cash NB exactly which options are available are dependent on the Artist, e.g. some artists may not accept transfers etc.

Can I ask questions before ordering?

Of course! Our Artists will be delighted to answer your questions, just click on the 'contact me' link in the Artists's details.

Pay via credit/Debit card

The Artists Web and it's members use paypal.com for secure credit card processing (see www.paypal.com). PayPal, the trusted leader in online payments, enables buyers and businesses to send and receive money online. PayPal has over 100 million member accounts in 190 countries and regions. NB Paypal takes your security very seriously, plus your credit card details are never revealed to The Artists Web or it's members.

All you need is a valid credit or debit card - there's no need to be a member of paypal to pay online.

Pay by cheque, transfer

In addition to the conveniece of shopping online, our members have alternative methods of receiving payment, these will typically be cheque, bank transfer or in some cases other services too. If you click the 'order offline' option when ordering, you will be presented with a list of payment methods availble.

Terms of Sale

The Artists terms of sales are listed on the page when you are placing and order, or when you are viewing the artists profile. We strongly recommend you thoroughly read the artists terms before making a purchase.
