The print sales program allows you to sell your artwork as prints to customers who visit your website from the UK, Europe and beyond. You can also sell through The Artists Web and Easyart networks.

Our Credentials
History
The brainchild of Chris Kirkland, The Artists Web came into being in early 2006. Having produced a number of websites for artists it soon became clear that what they needed was a simple website to display their work, that didn't cost a fortune and was individual but would not distract from the work itself. He then set about creating an application for artists to have just that, whilst taking control of their own content at an affordable price. Rather than trying to do it themselves or hire an expensive web agency artists could now have a website up and running in ten minutes for under a hundred pounds. As an artist and musician himself, he was also really keen to create a community where artists of all kinds could access useful articles, links to other sites, plus share views and advice.

How does The Artists Web work?
After creating an account, you upload images of your work directly from your computer to your website. Images can be organised into one or more gallery pages, and you can write text pages about your work/exhibitions etc. - a complete and professional website in just minutes. Through a simple point-and-click interface, you can also select from dozens of design options and manage other website settings without any special technical skills.

I Already have a website why should I need The Artists Web?

Can I use my own domain name with The Artists Web?
Yes. Although every account includes a unique theartistsweb.co.uk web address, you can just as easily use any domain name of your own. Having your own domain adds an additional layer of professionalism and legitimacy to your online portfolio and includes free email forwarding. Don't have your own domain name? We include an optional free .co.uk with every site. Already have a domain name? We'll help you set it up on your The Artists Web website; it normally takes a little over 24hours to transfer and all you need to do is complete the appropriate section of the Order Form.
Does The Artists Web limit disk space or bandwidth usage?
Absolutely not. Unlike other providers who limit your disk space and charge you extra for bandwidth, The Artists Web puts no restrictions on these resources. Unlimited disk space means you can upload your artwork and manage your website without regard for filesize or quotas. Unlimited bandwidth means you'll never be penalized for having a popular and heavily-trafficked portfolio.
Are there any technical requirements for using The Artists Web?
The Artists Web was developed for Windows and Mac users alike and is incredibly easy to use on both platforms. However, we strongly recommend that you use the most recent version of your web browser for maximum compatibility. Firefox and Safari are recommended and Internet Explorer has also been tested with excellent results.
If I know HTML, can I use it to customise my Artists Web portfolio?
Certainly, and many of our members do. Although no HTML or other programming skills are required to create and manage a complete portfolio website with The Artists Web, a little bit of HTML can extend your customization options and lend even greater personal style to your portfolio.
